چکیده

This study determined the metabolizable energy of DDGS for broiler quails (Experiment I) and evaluated effect different dietary levels on performance, carcass, organ weight, meat quality, economic viability II). In Experiment I, 72 were randomly distributed into two treatments (reference or test diets). The experimental period consisted 5 days adaptation, followed by total excreta collection. Experimental diets a reference diet containing 800 g/kg 200 DDGS. experiment II, 432 unsexed groups fed six (0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 g/kg). At 43 age, birds slaughtered carcass yield, quality. Apparent values corrected nitrogen retention 2,488 2,466 kcal/kg males females, respectively. growth phase overall period, feed intake increased linearly (p=0.015 0.040) conversion ratio worsened (p=0.038 0.001) with inclusion in diet, A linear increasing (p=0.001) gizzard weight was observed levels, while variables affect depending seasonal feedstocks prices. It is concluded that up to do not growth, characteristics, quality quails. However, prices ingredients harvest off-season should be considered determine level

Biorefinery strategies for upgrading Distillers’ Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS)

20 21 Distillers’ Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) is the major by-product of bioethanol and distillery 22 plants. Due to its high content of proteins, water-soluble vitamins and minerals, DDGS has been 23 long marketed as animal feed for livestock. EU legislation on liquid biofuels could raise the 24 demand on bioethanol production in Europe, with a resulting increase in DDGS availability. 25...

Use of Constant or Increasing Levels of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) in Broiler Diets

A study was conducted to evaluate the use of constant or increasing levels of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) in diets for broilers. Diets were formulated for starter (0-14 d), grower (14 to 35 d) and finisher (35 to 42 d) periods to contain 0, 15, or 30% DDGS. Diets were formulated on digestible amino acid basis to meet current U.S. poultry industry nutrient levels and were mainta...

Utilization of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) in Broiler Diets Using a Standardized Nutrient Matrix

An experiment was conducted to evaluate different levels of “new generation” distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) in broiler diets throughout a 49 d growing period, based a standardized nutrient matrix derived from a composite of literature values. Diets were formulated based on digestible amino acid content to typical U.S. poultry industry standards to contain 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25% ...

SWINE FOCUS #001 Distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) in diets fed to swine

Distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) is produced from the fuel ethanol industry and is available for inclusion in diets fed to swine. During recent years, several research projects have been completed to investigate the feeding value of DDGS. Crude nutrient concentrations, energy and nutrient digestibility values, and effects of including DDGS in diets fed to different categories of swi...

Productive Performance of Laying Hens Fed Different Levels of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles with or without Certain Feed Additives

The objective of this work was to evaluate the inclusion of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) as substitution for soybean meal in Hisex Brown laying hen diets with or without enzyme or vitamin E supplementation on productive performance. A total number of 180 Hisex Brown laying hens at 26 weeks of age were randomly divided into 15 treatment groups in a 5 × 3 factorial design experime...
